SONY TO BEGIN EXPERIENTIAL TOUR FOR PSP SUCCESSOR
posted on: 10/1/2012 16:25:01

Games giant Sony is launching an experiential tour in Manchester on 12 January to mark the release of its PS Vita console.

The Vita Rooms, a pop-up venue in Deansgate, will offer people the chance to play a selection of the console’s games. In all, 33 titles will be launched including Sony franchises such as Uncharted and Wipeout, plus third-party hits like FIFA.
After Manchester the tour moves to Glasgow on 23 to 29 January, before coming to London from 16 to 23 February.

“We aim to get as many consumers and trade partners through our doors as possible to enjoy the hands on experience of PS Vita,” said Charli Gallagher, PlayStation’s events manager.

UK marketing manager Mark Bowles said the PS Vita launch will be supported by the biggest ever campaign from PlayStation.

“One thing we learnt early on is that the best way to understand PS Vita, is to get hands-on experience with it. This is why we’re investing heavily in an experiential tour,” he added.
