A virtual reality lady is starring in Acer’s groundbreaking experiential marketing campaign for its Aspire S3 Ultrabook in shopping malls across Australia.
‘Alicia Aspire’ is helping consumers to see, touch and feel the Aspire S3 for consumers in Sydney and Melbourne. The technology uses a projector to throw an image onto an acrylic cutout.
Sound is generated by using a surface speaker, which is transmitted as though the voice is coming directly from the projected salesperson.
“The core function for our virtual sales person is to step outside the box,” said Acer’s marketing general manager David Sunton.
“Just like the Acer Ultrabook, Alicia Aspire breaks the barriers of technology.
“She can also be viewed from all angles and is positioned front centre to create maximum stopping power from shoppers. The projected display is eye-catching and has never been seen before in Australia. What we’re trying to do is use technology as a means of reaching out to our customers but also has that personal touch.”
The Acer 'Experimental Zone' will next appear at Westfield in Sydney’s Bondi Junction from 15 to 18 December.
Canadian youth marketing agency Newad landed frozen DC-3 plans in Toronto and Vancouver on 7 and 8 January to help promote CBC’s new Arctic Air TV series to consumers.
The editorial and sales team at exhibitingmagazine.co.uk would like to wish its readers, clients and supporters a safe and happy break over the Christmas and New Year period.
